Brief

The project focuses on the Castagna del Monte Faito PGI, a chestnut that grows on a specific mountain slope where altitude, temperature shifts and volcanic soils shape a unique ecosystem. Monte Faito, rising 1,131 metres above sea level and overlooking the Gulf of Naples and the Sorrento Peninsula, is the main geographic and visual anchor of this identity. Around this peak lie woods, villages and cultivated landscapes that connect Pimonte, Vico Equense, Castellammare di Stabia, Lettere, Casola di Napoli, Gragnano and other mountain communities with a long tradition of chestnut growing. The aim was to translate this network of nature, culture and know‑how into a clear, coherent visual system that could work across packaging, labels and communication tools, keeping the bond with the territory at the centre.

Idea

In the logo the chestnut becomes a container of landscapes: inside it, a set of soft waves narrates the territory by altitude, from the peaks down to the sea. At the top, a brown shape with a smooth silhouette represents the summit of Monte Faito and starts a descending sequence that includes the outline of Monte Pendolo, the view from the Castle of Lettere, the wooded hills of Casola di Napoli, the Gragnano spaghetti, the cliffs of Vico Equense and finally the shoreline of Castellammare di Stabia. The alternating rhythm of the bands generates a continuous pattern, reused in applications and neutral backgrounds. The colour progression from brown to ochre, blue and teal guides the eye from fruit to coast, while the condensed sans‑serif Antonio anchors the system on packaging, labels and printed materials. The custom‑shaped label brings all these elements together in a single mark, designed both as the main product front and as a guarantee seal that can close and protect the packaging.
